I needed to do something the last hour before my flight and this place caught my eye, especially since it's all you can eat. The lunch pricing is only until 3pm. Dinner all you can eat is $32.95. I didn't know how close it was to the airport until I drove after my meal, but let me tell you, it's extremely close! You will make it to your flight if you eat here. Bathroom is also pretty clean. There is plenty of parking in the front for this restaurant. They are right across from Costco. (I had just finished filling up the gas for my rental car.) As soon as you walk in, there is somebody there to seat you immediately. It is a cozy space, but still big enough for family dining. I was seated right in front of the sushi bar and I'm not used to the sushi chef asking me directly what I would like to order, but it wasn't busy and he's literally right in front of you! Thankfully by the end of the meal I got more comfortable ordering. They ask you frequently if you would like anything else. The quality of fish was decent. The quality of the avocado and cucumber was even better. Vegetarian options are plenty. Since they were not that busy the service was very quick. The service was also friendly and straight to the point. Pictured is the 007 roll and since it is deep fried it takes a little bit longer to come out. I was surprised to see how deep fried it was! I almost did not get my money's worth because the 007 roll slowed me down. Keep in mind that long rolls are 8-10 pieces. At the end of the meal, ice cream was offered. It was good ice cream. I grabbed green tea. I know they also have mango and other flavors available. Overall, I would come here again. For the sushi and the price, it is a good deal. Hopefully with friends and family so they can experience it as well. Great last stop for my Reno trip. Support the business!

Came on the long weekend's Saturday night and when we got here it was already 8:20 and they close at 9pm. It was a bit rushed for AYCE but we got lucky as we sat on the sushi bar where we could directly make our orders. Although I heard of Sushi Pier before it was my first time here. The shop was smaller than I thought but with 4 sushi chef in the center, our busy orders were magically all taken care of. Our lady waitress and sushi chef worked quickly to get our orders. It looks like they got our orders and plated them and gave us all together. Luckily each of us only ordered 2-3 items each time so we could keep ordering while eating to cut down the wait time. We found that combining orders also help, so the chef and make a bunch at a time. To be honest, the sushi cuts aren't that big or thick, but the orders added up quickly. The quail egg shooter was a bit disappointing as the spicy sauce sank to the bottom. The ikura were unlimited and they were so fresh that I rated them the best! The Mickey and Donald are all good, the unagi is also descent. Hamachi are fresh, salmon looks good, I didn't like the snapper as it was drizzled with sriracha. For 32.95 a person I found it good value with fresh sushi and good service!

Wow! This was such a fun experience. We head that Sushi Pier had an 'All You Can Eat (AYCE) Sushi', so we had to try it out. We arrived for a fairly early dinner, and they were able to seat us at the sushi bar. Our server was friendly and walked us though which pages we were able to order from which was nearly all of them. For sushi rolls and nigiri we just asked the sushi chef to make them. For other items we asked our server(s). For the AYCE, I had suspected it would just be some generic rolls, but it included everything. I tried the Dragon, Spider, Komodo, Godzilla, and Caterpillar rolls in addition to Fish Egg Nigiri. All of it was exceptional. It was great to watch our sushi chef make everything and be able to chat with her. Our waiters, yes plural, were both friendly and prompt. There was even dessert included. I highly recommend Sushi Pier!

Date of Visit: 8/3/2024 We visited the Sushi Pier in Reno after a short hike at the Tahoe Rim Trail. We arrived around 7:30pm and sat at the bar right away. The price for lunch all you can eat is $25.95, which is available everyday before 3pm. And you can get dinner all you can eat at any time for $32.95, which includes a whole page of dinner rolls. We ordered the miso soup and baked mussels from the waiter, and we ordered the following with the chef at the bar: - Quail Eggs Shooter - Salmon Roe Nigiri - Freshwater Eel Nigiri - Yellowtail Nigiri - Salmon Nigiri - Flying Fish Roe Nigiri - Snapper Nigiri - Seared Tuna Nigiri - Octopus Nigiri Everything was good except the octopus. The octopus were soft and with lots of tendons and hard to chew. We picked oranges with plum wine and green tea ice cream for desserts at the end.

To cut to the chase, i would rate this place 3.5 stars overall, but because my server was really great i am bumping that to 4 stars. I got a rainbow long roll and an order of gyoza. Things i liked: - small space but clean and nice decor - servers were attentive and prompt with refills - good value for the price Things that could have been better: - the menu didn't have pictures so for first timers it takes forever to get through the menu - i was told i could customize the order if eating ala carte, but when i tried a substitution chef got confused so i just ordered something without changes - on menu it was hard to understand what was inside the roll and what was on top - gyoza was deep fried, which is OK but pan fried has a better texture in my opinion - ala carte gyoza came with slaw, which i didn't understand. I don't like slaw so that went untouched. - rainbow roll was okay, but could really use a sauce on top instead of roe. Flavor was just flat I will go back and try some different rolls but on my list of sushi places in reno, this somewhere in the middle. Not fantastic, but not terrible either. Probably not someplace i would drive across town to get to but if i was at costco anyway, it might be convenient.

I love this is an AYCE sushi place that doesn't mix up sashimi cuts... So many all you can eat sushi places in the order sashimi give you the same thin small cuts of nigiri, but charge you a premium price. This place never does that. Ordered food to pick up today. 16 piece sashimi dinner deluxe. Oh they did forget to give me the rice on the 16 piece deluxe sashimi dinner. We had to ask for the miso. Otherwise it would've been five star.
